Prince

ADOPTED! Prince - Tri-Color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Prince is a 2 1/2 year old Tri Color owner turn-in.

He's a wonderful lovebug that wants to be where ever you are. He loves on everybody and just wants the attention.

He's in good health, except for luxating patella's. His previous owner was working on getting his weight down, he's lost 5 lbs., and we're continuing to work on that. He weighs 25.2 lbs and still needs to lose at least 5 more. The vet commented that if his weight drops to where it should be and he gets some regular exercise, his patella's should be OK. We’re going to take him back to have them check after he gets the weight loss and exercise.

He walks well on a lead and knows the sit, stay and down command. He waits to be called up on furniture and can jump up on his own, but usually waits to be picked up.

A comment from his foster family:

Just a note to let you know we are doing well. Jack and Prince have been great friends from the start and with time they have become even closer. They are a really cute pair. Prince has become more energetic. He enjoys playing with Jack and daily walks on our property and at the park. He has met lots of people and dogs. Prince loves everyone and everyone loves him. He is a delightful pup.

When I leave the house, he does well if Jack is here but he does not like to be left alone (I have tried to test this out just to see his reaction). This is understandable considering the pack of dogs he had before. He is used to being with dogs or people. He is still a snorer.
