Chloe (B&T)

ADOPTED! Chloe - Black & Tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Chloe is a 1 1/2 year old Rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that we're fostering.

She is a friendly female Black and Tan. She the happiest curled up on a mat near wherever you are. She's heart clear, but is a little over weight, so is on a diet for now. She is completely house trained.

She's fitting right in with the pack and will curl up on the mats or the recliner with the others, or with you on the couch or recliner if you'll let her. She loves to give kisses in return for a little petting and will continue to do so as long as you let her. She loves being able to use the stairs to the bed and sleep with us all night. Her favorite place is curled up on the pillows next to your head.

She walks well on a leash, but can use some additional obedience training. She recognizes her name and will come when called. She's not food aggressive, but will try to sneak one of the other dogs food when they're not looking, (what Cavalier won't).

She went to the vet today, is heart clear, and got all her vaccinations. She does have a bad patella on her left leg and will require surgery. It was recommended that she lose a few more pounds before it's done, so the surgery is several weeks out for now.

She's taken a trip to Illinois for her patella surgery. I didn't have a foster with the needed peace, quiet and time for the after surgery care. They were generous enough to provide that, so she's made the trip with one of the Cavalier Club breeders who also volunteers for Rescue.
