ADOPTED! Arthur - Tri-Color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Arthur is a 3 year old owner turn-in.

He's well behaved, but somewhat skittish around people he doesn't know. He finds himself a spot out of the way and settles in. Once he gets comfortable with you he's a lovebug. He got comfortable with my son and me when we spent some time with him before bringing him home to foster.

Once we got home, he settled right in with the other dogs we have here and of course, my son. Arthur seemed to really enjoy sleeping on the "Big" bed last night. He slept on the pillows right next to my head. We have stairs leading onto the bed and he didn't have any problem going up or down them.

We tried to feed him last night in a wire crate. He seemed to enjoy the crate, but didn't eat. When we fed all the dogs this morning, he went right into the crate and did eat. We haven’t had any problems with him eating since then and he runs into the crate waiting for his food to be put down.

He's settled in very well. When any of us come in the door, Arthur greets us and wants some attention. If our big dogs are there, he waits until they're done then comes over. During the evening, he curls up under my desk on the floor, even though I've got several mats all around my desk.

Arthur is definitely house trained and will go out to do his business. He doesn't always go in the yard, sometimes he will go on the patio, but he does go outside.

He seems to like children. I have 2 grandkids, 2 and 5, and he goes right over to them wanting attention. If they get too active for him, he goes off until they settle down. Then he’s back over there for some more attention.

He has been adopted. He has a wonderful family including a Blenheim Cavalier brother to keep him company.
