Cassey is a 3 year old female owner turn-in that’s had her tail docked. She's well behaved, but extremely shy. She's settled in very well. A few accidents in the house, loves attention and lap time, but you've got to convince her to come out of her corner. She's getting along great with the other dogs here. She's slowly getting used to us and our schedule. She's now coming out of her corner and joining us in the den in the evenings. She comes over and puts her front paws up for attention. She now is meeting us at the door when we come home. Waits her turn for some loving and then goes into the den where she claimed one of the dog beds we have scattered around the room. Once we finally get settled down, she's over at the couch wanting up with us. She had a couple of visits to the vet. She's received all her shots, heartworm test and parasite test. Both tests were clear. She been spayed and doing well. She goes back in 10 days to have her stitches out and will be ready for adoption then. She’s settled in enough that she’s playing with the other cavaliers, and the one min-pin, at the house. They go running through the house chasing each other grabbing ears and in her case, tails. Of course hers has been docked, so they can’t grab her tail. J As long as we take her out regularly, every 2 to 3 hours, she doesn’t have any accidents in the house. She’s good overnight as long as we take her out right before bed and first thing in the morning. She can be vocal. If there’s any activity going on outside, she’ll let you know. Also when you first come home, until you show her attention, she’ll talk to you. She doesn’t like to be kept from her 2 legged “family”. If gated off from them, she can clear a 3 foot child gate. A 4 foot on stops her though. She does prefer men over women. It's not that she doesn't like women, but given the choice with both in the same room, she'll go to the man. She does like to bark at noises outside the house and can be persistent, but usually a strong hush, maybe a couple times, will get her to stop. She's come a long way since she arrived and is ready for a loving home. Here's a video of her playing in her new back yard.
