Tess is a 4 year old Rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that we're fostering. She is a female Blenheim. She had not had much if any socialization in her life, but is slowly coming along. She wants attention, her tail and back half of her body will be swinging side to side like crazy, but is afraid to get it. She has socialization and medical problems. The socialization one's we're working on with the help of our pack (see photos-pets). The medical one's are being taken care of by our vet, a canine ophthalmologist (sp), medication and time to get well. She definitely prefers men to women. Women scare her. She continues to gain trust in people. She's slowing getting to where she will come up to me for attention on her own. She'll still cower some, but then stands up and enjoys the petting and rubbing. She's now to the point she'll come over and put her paws up on me, but not my wife, when she wants some attention. She's getting drops in her eyes 3 times a day. This is for the Dry Eye condition she has. That has stopped the scabs forming on her cornea and enabled her to get about 80 percent of her vision back. She has also recovered 30 percent of her tear production. She still has some problems when the lights are dim and shadows, also with sudden movements will startle her. She's gone to her forever home and has a 2 legged brother and 4 legged sister.
