ADOPTED! Koby - Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Koby is a 3 year old male cavalier.

Koby is a puppy mill turn-in. Don't know what happened, but he only has 2/3rds of his tail. He's well behaved, but extremely skittish around people. He doesn't try to bite or anything, just finds him a corner, and if you go over to him, freezes in place.

In good health and current on all his shots. He's current on all his shots and is heartworm negative. He has a laceration on his right eye, is underweight at 17 lbs. and will have to be neutered.

He gets along well with other dogs, is not house trained and slightly underweight. Right now the trick is to get him to trust us enough to eat.

He's coming around. When all the other dogs come over, he does too. Tail wagging like crazy. He'll let you pet him, but he backs up and then freezes while you're doing it. At least he doesn't run off like he did at first.

We've got about 3 lbs added to him and he still has a couple more to go. Instead of hiding in his crate while anyone is around, he's coming out and roaming around. He's also using one of the mats to lie on now instead of hiding out.

Koby is doing better all around. He's still skittish with people, but will let you pet him. He's doing better with his house training. He still doesn't let you know when he needs to go out, but is fine during the day with regular trips outside. At night, he's put in his crate and is good until the next morning.

Koby has gone to his forever home. He's with a nice couple that will continue to work with him so he can be the loving cavalier he wants to be.
