Maggie is of unknown age and a shelter turn-over.
She’s going to be in rescue for a while. She currently is
heartworm positive, has an enlarged heart due to them and has pneumonia.
The oral antibiotics that she was on, made her throw-up, so now
she’s getting them injected daily. Hopefully that will not upset her
stomach like the pills did and she’ll be able to start the heartworm
treatment. She had to make an emergency trip to the vet Monday
morning. Due to not keeping the antibiotics down, she was very
dehydrated, so they administered saline through an IV.
She is currently being fostered in Rogers, AR.
