Clair is a 1 1/2 year old, born 7/7/2009, Tri-Color Rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that we're fostering.

Clair had been picked up several times by animal control roaming loose, and ended up in the county shelter when her owner decided not to “Bail” her out again.  We contacted the shelter and arraigned for her to come into rescue.

She's an un-spayed Tri Female 1 1/2 years old.

All puppy pictures without Clair in them were taken while she was outside doing her business.

She's a highly active girl, but loving at the same time.  It was almost impossible to do any training when she first got her.  We went to pick her up and she started to have puppies right before we got there.  She had 6 puppies, 3 male and 3 female.  One made it.

Now that Minnie is older, we've started working with Clair.  She does well in the house, but still has the occasional accident.  She is the typical cavalier inside.  She wants to snuggle and be with you all the time.

She is very active when she's up and moving.  She's a climber, able to jump a 3 foot gate and likes to chew on things.  If there's chew toys around, she's ok.  She jumps when she's locked away from Minnie or her human pack.  She's kennel trained and will bark for a couple of minutes after she's put in, but settles down once you're out of sight.

Clair walks well on a leash.  She does try to go after things sometimes, but a correction takes care of her.  She like to ride also and does pretty good.  Again, as a young dog, she'll move around looking out the windows.  We use a crate or harness to keep her in place.

With Minnie adopted, she's become a loving girl to the 2 legged pack mates.  She's also likes her playtime with the other cavaliers we have here.

She has progressed with her house training very well.  If she's taken out every three to four hours, she has no accidents in the house.  She holds is all night and just needs to be taken out first thing in the morning.

She is a little Houdini.  She has managed to get over a 6ft. wooden privacy fence as well as through and over a wrought iron fence.  For this reason, we’re recommending that she be adopted to a home that doesn’t have a fence and will be leash walked to do her business.

She has found her forever home with a young lady that is as active as she is.

Rudy, Minnie and Clair crashed in the recliner

The blanket was folded over the back of the recliner. Clair decided she was going to lay on it, so pulled it down.

Trying to get some frontal pictures.

She'd rather be running around with the other dogs that sitting in a chair getting her picture taken.

Can we squeeze another one on the chair?
