Charlotte is a 7 year
female Cocker Spaniel.
She was a puppy mill
breeding mama, so came into rescue with no socialization or house
training. Charlotte was severely matted, eye, teeth and ear
infections, dry eye and of course intact. Very protective of her
food and space. Her idea of other dogs was they were a threat, so
would growl when they got too close. Never took it more that a
growl even if they continued getting closer.
A Puppy cut at the
groomers, several rounds of antibiotics and cyclosporine eye drops took
care of the curable problems. She has chronic dry eye, so will
need drops for the rest of her life. Her ears need to have a ear
treatment once a week and cleaned every couple. We use cotton
swabs and balls to clean them.
A wonderful family has
adopted Charlotte. She's got an adopted brother, and they snuggle
together whenever they can't find one of their humans laps to lay on.

As you can tell, she still can't stand the other dogs. LOL
She loves to snuggle with the other dogs, on a mat or on the bed. Most of all at night, she wants to be touching her human while she sleeps. |
