Daniel is an approximately 4 year old Ruby male that survived being hit by a car and a month in the Vet.We've been looking for his owners with flyers and postings on Facebook and other internet pages with no success so far. He had no major internal injuries, but severe "road rash" that included a couple deep gouges that needs staples to close. He also has a shattered left wrist from the accident. The wrist injury and existing cherry eye will need to be surgically taken care of. He is heartworm clear. He is seems to be housebroken. He doesn't make any sound when he needs to go out so you have to keep an eye on him and when he goes over by the door, take him out. He went to the Vet and has had his surgery on his left wrist. It'll be 4 to 6 weeks before we'll know for sure if it's completely healed. About 2 weeks for him to stay off it as much as possible and definitely no jumping on furniture, the bed or chairs, so he'll be crated a lot. He's had the pins and fixator installed now for 12 1/2 weeks. Working with the vet, he would like to have the outside half of the fixator removed, then 6 to 8 weeks later remove the last of it. We're going to try. He wants to be jumping on the couch or beds like some of the others do. Of course the ones that do it are French Spaniels which are 4 times his size. In the mean time, he'll just have to use the ramps we purchased so he can walk up on them.
